Seamless Steel Pipe Tube Production Process
Billet Selection: The process typically begins with the careful selection of high-quality stainless steel billets. These are solid round bars that serve as the raw material for seamless pipe production.
Piercing and Extrusion: The selected billets are heated to high temperatures and pierced to form a hollow shell, known as a “bloom.” The bloom is then elongated and reduced in diameter through extrusion to create a seamless tube.
Sizing: The seamless tube is then passed through a series of sizing rolls to achieve the desired dimensions and wall thickness.
Heat Treatment: Depending on the specific requirements, the seamless tube may undergo heat treatment processes such as annealing to improve its mechanical properties and remove stress generated during manufacturing.
Final Processing: The seamless stainless steel tube undergoes further finishing processes such as straightening, cutting, and inspection to ensure it meets the required specifications and quality standards.
Welded Steel Pipe Tube Production Process
Coil or Plate Selection: Unlike seamless tubes, welded stainless steel tubes can be manufactured from stainless steel coils or plates. These materials are selected based on the dimensions and specifications of the intended tubes.
